The marine environment comprises a variety of dynamical systems in which biotic and abiotic elements interact over a wide range of spatio-temporal scales. Intrigued by this richness and diversity, we aspire to investigate marine systems at the interface between scientific disciplines.

The approach we take is based primarily on collection, analysis and interpretation of remote-sensing data from satellites, airplanes and drones. These data are used to characterize variability patterns and motions over multiple spatial (a few meters to thousands of kilometers) and temporal (minutes to decades) scales,  providing observational insights into various aspects of marine research.
